Dance at Dusk is an evening of solos and its main attraction, the premiere of a new trio by MamLuft&Co. Dance that is performed on stage and on film. The trio is entitled “Unyielding” and was funded by the Cincinnati Arts Ambassador Fellowship by city fellow, Jeanne Mam-Luft, in collaboration with the performers. “Unyielding” was inspired by how intrinsic fears are basic and common amongst most people, and yet, creates conflict, in which we can take unyielding stances.

Before the main attraction, the performers will be performing a variety of solos. Steven Evans will perform his solo, “Succession,” which addresses how successive and constant change allows us to move forward. Neile Martin will perform a new solo titled, “Loss: Anonymous and Specific,” in which she explores what is worth saving after a loss. Susan Honer will perform “Home” by Northwest Florida Ballet’s Sharon Honer and “fine fine” by Bessie Award-winning Karinne Keithley Syers, two pieces inspired by very different music.

In case of bad weather, the event would be postponed to April 9 & 10 and an alert would be posted on this website, as well as MamLuft&Co. Dance’s Facebook page.
